New Mountain Magazine is a journal focusing on personality-led outdoor narratives - otherwise known as good ol' storytelling. Independently published, the zine eschews the unattainable for humbler tales, championing regular folk finding joy and embracing nature through idiosyncratic means. This second issue contains reportage on Icelandic bikepacking trips from Chris Buckard, paeans to ‘failed hikes’ inspiring tales of women-led alpinism and wistful paeans to the Calder Valley, amongst other articles of interest.
